Everybody and his bro ( and sister ) must have a blog by this point, right?
It’s true, the number of bloggers on the net has hit the stratosphere. And the numbers just keep on growing each day with new bloggers joining the ranks.
So you could be thinking,’Does the Net world truly need another blog, will anybody even find or read a blog?’
Well, here are two cents on the topic. Blogs just about fall into 2 categories and the 2 aren’t necessarily jointly exclusive. The 1st are people who simply like to write and feel compelled to share their opinions, information or insights with the virtual world. They’re not truly blogging to make money. Though they might end up doing so, their primary objective was to draft. The second, are blogs that exist solely to earn income, either immediately on their blog or by providing content to drive traffic to another site. And that is fine.
That said, it is a good idea to identify what goals you have set for yourself in making a blog. There’s wide menu of choices out there for bloggers and knowing what you need to achieve is important when you select a blogging platform and template.
If you fall into the 1st class that I discussed above, there are some incredibly quick and simple solutions out there and you can be up in running in no time. Google’s Blogger and WordPress both offer user friendly, quick start blogging to make money software. If you’ve got a computer, can read and follow some simple instructions, you can get yourself a blog and be composing your blog in virtually no time.
However if you’re seriously looking to set up a blog to earn income, Wordpress is probably the way to go. It permits the user more detailed functionality, the power to have your own domain, and some great enhancements which will actually enhance your blog. The All-In-SEO Plugin makes it easy to optimize each entry and page with key word information. You’ll need to install WordPress on the server of your hosting company and then upload the files for the theme you select. If you already have a hosting provider, check with them and see what sort of support they offer. This option also enables you to have your own domain, without the WordPress or Blogspot extension.
This recommendation is to spend a while and do your analysis before leaping into this option. Be sure to read an article on choosing An SEO Friendly Domain. The most important investment will be your time, however when you have gone thru the process once, you’ll feel a bit like a seasoned pro.
